Danmarks Biavlerforening blev stiftet den 5. juli 1866, og kan således fejre 155års fødselsdag i dag. Da foreningen blev stiftet, var formålet blandt andet at udbrede biavlen og den Dzierzonske metode.
I dag kan vi ikke blot markere Danmarks Biavlerforenings 155 års fødselsdag, men foreningens medlemsblad er udkommet i lige så mange år.
